Exergames Are Here To Stay

Here is the beginning of my post. And here is the rest of it.

Exergame Video

In order for a man to succeed in life, God provided him with two means, education and physical activity. Not separately, one for the soul and one for the body, but for the two together. With these two means, man can attain perfection.-Plato

The first site is most likely a Canadian page. Ottawa would be my guess of the province, seeing that is says the weather there in the top left corner.
The piece was very interesting and seeing changes like that has to make other countries as well as other school districts to want to be involved in this epidemic. We most likely don't hear these things about City Park because it's in another Country and I feel we as American, our stubborn ways will deny our success in these Exergames. I feel the best outcome of this video was the changing of the children and how their lives were saved. Some of these kids not only were bad with learning and school, but used drugs and were looking at jail time or death. The standards seemed to be the same where students need to participate and not stand around. This video is also beneficial to show that students who exercise more often or at least for 45 minutes a day can increase learning capacity and comprehension. These findings alone should be enough to show the benefits of exercise and learning.
John J. Ratey, wrote a book called Spark, which sparked the teachers idea to get exercise in her classroom which ultimately benefited her students.

Brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF)The more we exercise, the more BDNF functions. It repairs parts of the brain and allows for a less stressful environment. You get BDNF by being active and thinking at the same time.
